How to replace kitchen cupboard doors.

Replacing the doors on your kitchen cabinets is an easy project that can make a big difference in the look of your kitchen. 2. Remove all of the existing hardware from each door using a screwdriver or Allen wrench. Remove hinges and handles first; then remove screws holding hinges to cabinets; finally, remove any screws holding hinges to mounting plates inside cabinets (if present).

3. Remove old wood from inside of cabinet door openings by chiseling away wood with a hammer and chisel until about 1/4 inch remains around outer edge of each opening; then sand smooth with sandpaper attached to a block sander or belt sander (if available).

4. Paint or stain new wood inside cabinet openings before installing new doors (if desired).
