How to build a popsicle stick bridge
Have you ever wanted to build a popsicle stick bridge in the park? Have you ever wondered how to make a bridge which is stable enough for people and vehicles to cross? If you’ve answered yes to at least one of these questions, then this is going to be the most exciting blog post you will read today.
When my parents first bought their house, it didn’t come with a “common sense” guide. Everything I have learned about it, I have learned through experience and observation. From pouring concrete, to installing electrical outlets – to building a popsicle stick bridge.
How to build a popsicle stick bridge
The Popsicle Bridge Challenge is a fun project for kids to build bridges out of popsicle sticks, without using glue. A popsicle stick bridge challenge is a great way for children to learn about structural engineering, and how a bridge works. The Popsicle Bridge Challenge was developed by Professor George E. R. Ellis at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Students build their bridges with popsicle sticks and are encouraged to use no glue or tape in their construction. The goal is to see if they can build a bridge that can hold the weight of an adult standing on it.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to build a simple popsicle stick bridge that can hold over 200 pounds. This is a great science experiment for kids and adults alike. The best part is that it’s easy to make and fun for the whole family.
Materials:
100+ popsicle sticks (you’ll need at least 100 but more than 200 will make it stronger)
1 yard of string or yarn (not necessary but will help with span testing)
Tools:
Scissors or knife (for cutting string)
How to Build a Popsicle Stick Bridge
Popsicle stick bridges are simple to build, but they can be quite challenging. They are also a great way for kids to learn about physics, engineering and architecture. A popsicle stick bridge is a structure that can be built using only popsicle sticks. The challenge is to create a bridge that will support the weight of an adult or a small child while remaining stable enough that it does not fall apart during use.
Building Your Popsicle Stick Bridge
The first thing you need to do is build your bridge in the shape of an arch. You can start off by creating two parallel lines of sticks on either side of your workspace. The length of these lines should depend on how wide you want your finished bridge to be. Once you have these lines drawn out, try placing one end of each line together and see if they form an arch shape when pushed together gently with your hands or if there are gaps between them. If there are gaps between them, then remove some sticks and try again until you find two ends that fit together perfectly without any gaps between them and form an arch shape when pushed together gently with your hands or
1. First, take two sticks and place them on top of each other. Then, take another stick and put it between the two.
