What does it cost to build a supertall tower? In this case, about $3.8 billion for the entire project — including $1 billion for the spire and antennae. The building is 1,776 feet from street level to the top of its spire.
That means that One World Trade Center cost about $1,100 per square foot. That’s on par with other tall buildings that have been built recently in New York City: 432 Park Avenue ($1,000 per square foot) and 30 Park Place ($1,250 per square foot).
But One World Trade Center was also built on a site where two previous towers collapsed during 9/11 attacks

The building is designed to resist the wind and water loads of a 500-year flood, a 200-year storm surge, and 150 mph winds.
The building’s foundation is built to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 7. The foundation was constructed using the slurry wall method, which consists of digging a trench, laying down waterproof material, and filling it with concrete.
The roof is adorned with 1,368 photovoltaic panels that are expected to generate 1.65 megawatts of electricity — enough energy for about 500 homes in New York City.
The tower will have three observation decks:
One World Observatory will be located on floors 100-102; the observatory will offer 360-degree views of New York City through glass walls that extend from the floor all the way up to the ceiling; tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for children ages 4-12.
Top of the World will be located on floors 106-108; tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for children ages 4-12.
Open Sky will be located on floors 110-111; tickets cost $32 for adults and $28 for children ages 4-12

After a delay due to concerns about asbestos contamination at Ground Zero, construction started on One World Trade Center in April 2018 and is scheduled for completion in 2022.[1]

2 World Trade Center (aka 200 Greenwich Street) was recently topped out at 1,340 feet and is scheduled for completion in 2020. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), this 72-story office tower will feature an open-air observation deck on its roof.
