Diy doors for ikea cabinets
There’s gold in them thar cabinets baby! Sometimes I feel like my best ideas come when I am most frustrated or stuck. In this particular instance, I was trying to figure out how to hide our pantry that is located behind a closet door. Our kitchen was an add-on to the original house and the builder just slapped some paneling on a wall and called it a cabinet. Well, it happens to be located directly next to our laundry/mud room. Needless to say, I had been quite irritated about it for awhile.

The Kallax is a great piece of furniture to customize with patterned contact paper. You can buy it at any hardware store or even on Amazon for about $8 for a pack of two rolls. I like to use this paper because it’s easy to apply (no glue required) and comes off cleanly if you want it removed later. To get started, follow these steps:
Measure the length and width of the inside of the cube using a measuring tape or ruler. You’ll need one piece of contact paper that will cover both sides of each side panel (6 panels total). Make sure that you measure carefully so that there is no overlap on any side panels when you put them back together!
Cut your piece(s) of contact paper down to size using scissors or a craft knife if necessary. Now its time to apply them! Peel off one side of your contact paper and stick it onto one side panel at a time.
