Adventure, excitement and suspense are the words most commonly used to describe a day at Disneyland, whether you’re a grown adult or already middle-aged but still love Disney. Disneyland is consistently ranked as one of the most fascinating places in the United States — not just for kids but for adults too.
Have you been to Disneyland lately? They are building Star Wars land and it’s going to be awesome. How am I not surprised that Disney will charge me more if I want the lightsaber version of the lightsaber? But I don’t want the “lightsaber version of the lightsaber.” I just want a lightsaber. Why do they have to stretch out the fun?
There is no doubt that the most popular places across the planet are Disney parks. People of all ages can be seen in imaginative costumes or maybe wearing a princess mask coloring in drawings, playing with their favorite toys or perhaps with lightsabers fighting Darth Vader for the Force. This article will discuss how much would it cost to build a lightsaber at Disneyland .

🛍️ Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers
- Cost: $219.99 at Disneyland (plus tax); Florida costs $249.99 + tax
- Experience: Build your own saber during a guided ceremony, selecting from four hilt themes and kyber crystal color as part of an immersive storyline
- Extras: Kyber crystal runs about $12.99–$20 each
- Reddit voices: “219.99 at Disneyland, plus tax. If you want to buy a different kyber crystal, that is a solid 20 dollars give or take”
“After everything… taxes… cost me exactly $237.04”
Electronic builds often cost more in Florida per travel reports.
Star Trader (Tomorrowland) & Tomorrowland “basic” sabers
- Disneyland also offers pre-made, legacy hilts and basic sabers in Star Trader — prices and availability can vary, but hilt-only models in the parks run about $159–219, and blades around $55.
Galaxy’s Edge merchandise at Downtown Disney or shops
- Legacy hilts (e.g. Kylo Ren, Obi‑Wan) are priced $159–219; blades range $55, while Kyber crystals are about $18 online .

If you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth and want to bring home a lightsaber, here’s what you need to know:
Prices vary depending on the type of lightsaber you choose. You can spend as little as $40 or as much as $200 for one of the more elaborate models. The most expensive option is the Darth Vader Lightsaber ($199), which comes with a display case and an optional stand so you can display it proudly in your house.
There are several different types of lightsabers available at Disney parks, including Kylo Ren’s crossguard lightsaber, Rey’s staff lightsaber, Anakin Skywalker’s blue saber and Luke Skywalker’s green saber. Each one can be customized by choosing from several different colors or adding custom engravings such as your name or favorite quote from Star Wars films.
The Disneyland version of the lightsaber has been a staple of the park since it opened in 1955. In fact, the lightsaber is one of the few items that has been carried over from Disneyland’s predecessor, which was called Walt Disney World. It’s also one of the most popular rides at Disneyland and Disney World.
The lightsaber can be found in Tomorrowland at both parks, but it’s located at different places within each park. The original location for this ride was next to Space Mountain in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. The Tomorrowland portion of Disneyland was re-themed during the New Tomorrowland makeover in 1998, and so the Star Wars attraction was moved to its current location: inside Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
The ride costs nothing extra to ride, so you won’t have to pay extra for it unless you want to purchase merchandise related to Star Wars (and any other character).
Disneyland is going to be the first park to have a Star Wars Land. The land will be located in Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The new land will open sometime in 2021,

The following are some of the things that can be expected to see when you visit:
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – This will be an immersive attraction where guests can “fly” through space on a Millenium Falcon. Guests will also be able to interact with Stormtroopers and other characters from the Star Wars Universe.
Star Wars Hotel – Guests who stay at this hotel will have access to several attractions including a cantina where they can meet Chewbacca and Kylo Ren as well as purchase drinks from Maz Kanata. They will also get early access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before it opens to the public at noon each day (this was not mentioned during the presentation but appears on their website).

Savis Workshop’s lightsaber options
You can also buy a lightsaber like this one from Savis Workshop, which makes custom lightsabers that look just like they do in Star Wars movies — except they don’t have any electronics inside them (so they can’t make sounds). The Savis lightsaber looks very similar to the Disneyland version — it’s also made out of plastic and has a red blade — but it costs more than twice as much:
The lightsaber is an iconic weapon that has been woven into the fabric of pop culture. Whether you’re a fan of the movies, or just want to add a bit more magic to your Disneyland experience, here’s how to get one of your own:
1. Visiting Disneyland Resort? You can pick up a lightsaber at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland (on the left side when entering from Main Street U.S.A.) for $160. There are also other options available at other locations around the resort, including Galaxy’s Edge in California and Florida.
2. If you don’t have time to make it to Disneyland before your trip, you can order one online from Disney Parks Gifts & Gear or Shop Disney Parks App (if you’re staying onsite). They’ll ship directly to your hotel and can be picked up at Guest Services once you arrive. Prices range from $150 – $200 depending on which one you choose and what materials it’s made out of (chrome or gold). Shipping fees vary by state and country but are typically around $20-$30 USD per item ordered online. The cheapest way is using ShopDisneyParks App (SDP) because there are no shipping fees for that app as long as it is delivered within 3 days from
The Disneyland lightsaber is available at the Star Trader on Main Street, U.S.A., and the Star Trader in Tomorrowland. You can also find this item at the Frontierland Trading Post and Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.
The lightsaber is a replica of Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” It features a hilt made of metal with an Anakin Skywalker graphic on one side and a Darth Vader graphic on the other side. The blade extends out when you slide it forward and retracts when you slide it back into the hilt.
There are two versions of this lightsaber: one for adults and one for kids (ages 3-12). The adult version measures 38 inches long, while the kid version measures 32 inches long.
