Let me start off with a disclaimer: I’m assuming that you’re not going to build a goat fence out of actual fences (i.e. use lumber to construct the “fence”). How Tall of a Fence Do You Need for Goats?

Materials
Pallets (5-6) – You can find these at nearly any hardware store or big box store. Be sure to look for ones that are in good shape, as some of them may have been exposed to chemicals or other hazards. My goat fencing is 3 feet tall. That is the height of my electric wire and the wood posts that support it. I have two goats and one dog. My goats are not jumpers, but they are climbers. They can climb a 4-foot fence if they want to. But my electric wire is set at 6 inches off the ground so they cannot get over it without getting zapped.
