Start by cutting the plywood pieces for the top, bottom and sides of the cabinet. To do this you will need to use a miter saw or chop saw to make 45 degree cuts on each side of each board. Next, add glue to the mitered corners and clamp them together until dry.
Next cut your plywood strips into 4″ wide strips that are 1/2″ shorter than the height of your side panels (use an angle grinder with an abrasive wheel or circular saw with plywood blade). Cut these strips into 14″ long pieces and attach them to the top edges of each side panel using 2″ nails or screws (you can also use pocket hole screws). You can buy pre-cut boards or rip your own from wider stock; however, you may want to consider buying precut pieces from a home center if you’re short on time or don’t have a table saw or jointer.

The first step to building a rolling shop cabinet is to measure and mark the location of your wheels. You will need to place them at least 1/2″ away from the top and bottom edges of your cabinet, as well as at least 2″ away from each side.

Now make two more cuts using these same measurements so that you have four total pieces of 2x4x60″. These will form the sides of your rolling shop cabinets.
Next use these pieces on both sides of your rolling shop cabinet in order to create a basic frame. Make sure that all boards are flush with each other when connecting them together!

4. Attach one bottom panel to each cabinet using glue and nails driven through pre-drilled holes (Photo 4). Space them evenly around the perimeter of each cabinet so there’s room for rolling casters when it’s time to move your cabinets around later on!

I have been working on a simple shop cabinet for my garage shop. I wanted to build something that would allow me to store all my tools and other items, but also be able to roll it out of the way when not needed. This is what I came up with.
The cabinet is made from 3/4″ plywood and 1x2s. The overall size is 5’x3′. It has two shelves in the bottom and two drawers in the top.
